”69c2 au grenier is an exhibition for one person at the time that will take place in the attic of a Paris apartment in the 10th district from 13 to 15 February 2015. The initiative will be open to all visitors who wish to venture onto a lonesome artistic climbing. The intimacy of a private attic – which was never designated as an exhibition space – has been undertaken by the Italian artist based in Prato, Chiara Bettazzi, and the Swedish artist living in Stockholm, Malin Pettersson Öberg. The two artists, sensitive to topics such as obsessive accumulation of objects and ephemeral collecting, each offer a video intervention in response. With very different poetics, Chiara Bettazzi and Malin Pettersson Öberg reflect on the medium of video, exploring its temporal properties through a language that alludes to the slideshow. The videos provide a non-invasive intervention in a site already charged with meaning. In the light of its spatial characteristics, the attic acts on the spectator’s sensory experience, forcing him to bend to the contingency of the video and recalibrate his way of «seeing»”.
