In the sculptural work 21:52 – Do u want to join us? text messages from my own phone (Are you here? / We’re coming with the last underground / Oh, it’s starting now) have been displaced into a public space and an ”eternal” aesthetics: the park and the memorial monument. The intended result is a transformation of the content and interpretation possibilities of the texts, and a relativization of the values connected to different modes of communication. Also aiming at giving rise to new readings and perspectives on our contemporary situation and environment.

The piece was made for the exhibition Permanens, held in Linköping’s University Park (SE) in 2007. It was arranged by the real estate company Akademiska Hus, who purchased the work for the park after the exhibition.
